Turkiye: Foreign Trade in Local Currency Exceeds 900 Billion Lira
Ankara, August 05 (QNA) - Turkiye's foreign trade conducted in the local currency exceeded 916 billion Turkish lira (about $1.93 billion) during the first seven months of this year, marking a 10.4% increase compared with the same period last year.
According to data from the Turkish Ministry of Trade, the volume of foreign trade conducted in Turkish lira totaled 916.966 billion lira during the period from January to July 2026.
Over the same period, Turkiye's total exports rose 3.4% year-on-year to $161.601 billion. Exports denominated in Turkish lira increased 14.9%, from 190.349 billion lira to 218.738 billion lira. Imports denominated in Turkish lira also rose 9.1%, from 640.179 billion lira to 698.228 billion lira. (QNA)
