7th Round of Lebanese-Israeli Negotiations Take Place in Rome
Beirut, August 04 (QNA) - The 7th round of Lebanese-Israeli negotiations, sponsored by the United States, began Tuesday in the Italian capital, Rome.
Discussions will focus on the implementation of the framework agreement signed by both parties on June 26.
Lebanese sources said that the talks commenced with technical and detailed discussions regarding the implementation mechanisms pertaining to future pilot zones to be established following the withdrawal of Israeli forces.
The sources noted that the Lebanese delegation called for adherence to the previously declared ceasefire and insisted on the need for Israel to end its violations of Lebanese territory.
The Lebanese sources said that the negotiations are expected to continue for three days. (QNA)
