QSE Index Gains 32.8 Points in Early Thursday's Trading

Doha, August 27 (QNA) - Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index rose by 0.33 % at the start of Thursday’s trading, gaining 32.80 points compared with the previous session’s close to reach 9,886 points, supported by five sectors.

Figures from QSE showed positive performance in the telecommunications sector, which rose by 1.67 %, followed by the industrial sector by 0.51 %, the consumer goods and services sector by 0.45 %, the real estate sector by 0.33 %, and the transportation sector by 0.19 %.

In contrast, the banks and financial services sector declined by 0.10 %, while the insurance sector fell by 0.18 %.

At 10:00 am, trading on QSE amounted to QR 66.930 million, involving 31.259 million shares executed through 4,248 transactions. (QNA)
