Russia, Ukraine Report Casualties, Military Strikes in Latest Wave of Attacks
Kyiv/Moscow, August 02 (QNA) - Russia and Ukraine exchanged fresh missile and drone attacks on Sunday, with both sides reporting casualties as the conflict showed no signs of easing after more than three years of fighting.
Ukrainian authorities said two people were killed and another injured in a Russian missile strike on Kyiv. According to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, the attack targeted a military-industrial facility in the capital.
The latest strike came after Ukrainian officials reported that a separate overnight Russian attack on Kyiv had killed nine people and injured 33 others.
Meanwhile, Russian authorities said a Ukrainian drone attack injured 10 people in the city of Donetsk early Sunday, while another drone strike killed two people in the Saratov region.
The latest exchange of missile and drone attacks comes amid continued fighting and increasingly frequent cross-border strikes, underscoring the absence of any immediate breakthrough toward ending the conflict. (QNA)
