Moscow, August 02 (QNA) - Russia continues to conduct precision airstrikes on transportation infrastructure in Ukraine, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces having been using for their logistical operations, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The statement added that the Russian Armed Forces continued to launch shellfire against Ukrainian infrastructure using one-way attack drones, which hit and decimated high-value targets (HVTs) in the waters of the Black Sea.

A cargo ship carrying military supplies was destroyed and sank, the statement continued, adding that infrastructure at Mykolaiv Port was knocked out, along with two cargo ships carrying supplies for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, while a tugboat converted into a floating base for unmanned boats was also destroyed.

Earlier Sunday, Ukrainian authorities announced that an oil refinery and a logistics complex in Russia had been targeted in airstrikes carried out against several targets on Russian territory, including the Saratov Oil Refinery and a Wildberries logistics hub in the Samara Region.

The Russia-Ukraine war has been marked by relentless escalation in the exchange of attacks, with Ukraine cranking up its long-range strikes in recent months against targets inside Russian territory.

Russia, on the other hand, continues to launch offensives using missiles and one-way attack drones against Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv. (QNA)
