Russian Defense Ministry Announces Targeting Fuel Tanks at Ukrainian Port of Chornomorsk
Moscow, August 19 (QNA) - The Russian Defense Ministry announced Wednesday that it had targeted fuel storage tanks at the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk and a cargo ship in the Black Sea.
In a statement, the ministry added it had shot down 453 Ukrainian one-way attack drones overnight over the southwestern regions of the country, according to RIA Novosti.
The statement noted that the drones targeted numerous oblasts, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Vologda, Oryol, Tula, Lipetsk, Ryazan, Yaroslavl, Volgograd, Rostov, Saratov, Samara and Ulyanovsk, as well as the Moscow region, Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Crimea, the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Black Sea.
Since the war erupted in 2022, Russia and Ukraine have traded accusations of attacking sites and facilities in each other's territory, while much of the information has been difficult to independently verify amid the ongoing military operations. (QNA)
