Cairo, August 18 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated Tuesday in the second meeting of the States Parties to the Arab Charter on Human Rights, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.

The State of Qatar was represented at the meeting by First Secretary at the Human Rights Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Fatima Ali Al Hajri.

The two-day meeting discusses ways to prepare a framework for the guiding principles for the implementation of Paragraph (3) of Article (45) of the Arab Charter on Human Rights.

The meeting comes as part of the implementation of the resolution issued by the 164th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, and in continuation of a series of coordination meetings and consultative meetings on the matter. (QNA)
