Real Estate Trading Volume Exceeds QAR 1.8 Billion in July

Doha, August 17 (QNA) - The volume of real estate trading in sale contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice in July 2026 amounted to QAR 1,859,383,090.

Data from the real estate analytical bulletin issued by the Ministry of Justice revealed that ,485 real estate transactions were recorded during the month.

The municipalities of Doha, Al Rayyan, and Al Dhaayen topped the list for the most active transactions in terms of financial value, according to the real estate market index, followed by Al Wakrah, Umm Salal, Al Khor&Al Dhakira, Al Shamal, and Al Shahaniyah.

The real estate market index for July 2026 showed that the financial value of transactions in Doha municipality amounted to QAR 763,844,226.

In Al Rayyan, the financial values of transactions was QAR 461,427,789, while in Al Dhaayen it was QAR 230,302,596. 

Transactions in Al Wakrah recorded QAR 171,137,396, Umm Salal amounted to QAR 126,135,920, Al Khor and Al Dhakira recorded QAR 71,606,407, while Al Shamal recorded QAR 33,828,756, and Al Shahaniyah QAR 1.1 million.

In terms of the traded area index, indicators revealed that Doha, Al Rayyan, and Al Wakrah municipalities were the most active in terms of traded real estate areas during July 2026: Al Rayyan 27 percent, followed by Doha 24 percent, and Al Wakrah 17 percent.

Al Dhaayen recorded 12 percent, Umm Salal 10 percent followed by Al Khor and Al Dhakira with 6 percent, and Al Shamal 3 percent, of the total traded areas.

Concerning the index of the number of real estate transactions (sold properties), trading indices revealed that the most active municipalities during July were Doha 28 percent, Al Rayyan with 20 percent, followed by Al Dhaayen with 18 percent, Al Wakrah with 15 percent, Umm Salal 9 percent, Al Khor and Al Dhakira 6 percent and Al Shamal 4 percent of the total real estate transactions.

An average per square foot prices for July ranged between (447-929) in Doha, (243-486) in Al Wakrah, (347-462) in Al Rayyan, (336-423) in Umm Salal, (340-642) in Al Dhaayen, (240-384) in Al Khor and Al Dhakira, (260-464) in Al Shamal and Al Shahaniyah (169).

The trading volume revealed the highest value of 10 properties sold in July were in Doha (six) properties, Al Rayyan (three) properties and Al Wakrah (one) property.

As for the volume of mortgage transactions in July, the number of transactions amounted to 212, with a total value of QAR 4,965,602,610.

Al Rayyan recorded the highest number of mortgage transactions with 105 transactions, equivalent to 49.5 percent of the total number of mortgaged properties, followed by Doha with 61 transactions, equivalent to 28.8 percent of the total number of mortgaged properties, and Al Khor and Al Dhakiral with 12 transactions equivalent to 5.7 percent of the total number of mortgaged properties, then Al Dhaayen and Al Wakrah with 11 transactions each, equivalent to 5.2 percent, followed by Umm Salal with 10 transactions, equivalent to 4.7 percent, then Shahaniyah with two transaction equivalent 0.9 percent.

As to the value of mortgages, the municipality of Doha came in the lead with a value of QAR 3,153,496,717, with Al Shahaniyah recording the lowest value of QAR 2.4 million.

As for residential units, their trading movement during July recorded 114 deals with a total value of QAR 197,755,279.

This data confirms the continued strong growth of the Qatari real estate sector in various investment and commercial fields, thanks to the new decisions related to real estate brokerage, real estate registration and documentation, ownership and usufruct, in addition to the laws that attract local and foreign capital, which enhances its position as one of the most important components of the national economy.
