Doha, August 11 (QNA) - The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) and the Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC)-founded by Qatar Foundation (QF)-have signed a funding agreement to support the Center's Career Readiness Program.

Through this partnership, DAAM will provide financial support to the program, which comprises several initiatives and platforms aimed at establishing an integrated system for developing the career paths of public school students from grades nine through 12.

The Career Readiness Program helps students identify their interests and abilities and prepares them to enter the labor market.

The program includes creating a national, AI-powered career guidance platform tailored to Qatari society, to help students explore their interests and learn about the academic tracks available to them at the university level.

The agreement also includes supporting Al Dileela: QCDC's specialized, one-on-one career counseling program, delivered by qualified experts to help students make informed, confident decisions and move forward with clarity.

Al Dileela offers students preparatory training programs and work-experience that allow them to gain exposure to professional environments, help them develop their skills, and acquire practical experience.

QCDC Executive Director Saad Abdulla Al Kharji said that preparing young people for the labor market requires creating stronger links among students' ambitions, their skills, together with the country's future needs.

He noted that the agreement with DAAM would contribute to developing QCDC's programs, expanding their impact, and improving access to career guidance services in line with Qatar's long-term priorities for human capital development.

For his part, DAAM Director of Programs Hassan Yousef Al Obaidli said the agreement is an extension of the Fund's efforts to support national programs aimed at developing the youth's capabilities and enhancing their readiness for the future.

He added that this is an important step toward empowering young talents and equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to transition confidently into the labor market.

This partnership reflects DAAM's commitment to supporting initiatives with a sustainable social impact and yielding a generation capable of making an effective contribution to Qatar's advancement, Al Obaidli noted.

The agreement highlights both sides' commitment to investing in young Qatari talent and supporting the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030 through human capital development.

It also underscores the role of DAAM and companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange in supporting national initiatives with sustainable impacts, thus, supporting QCDC's mission. (QNA)
