Death Toll from Venezuela Quakes Rises to 3,811
Caracas, July 09 (QNA) - Venezuelan authorities announced Thursday that the death toll from the two earthquakes that struck the country on June 24 has risen to 3,811.
Venezuelan National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez said in a statement that rescue teams have saved 6,462 people since the earthquakes.
The two earthquakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale, struck 39 seconds apart, primarily affecting northern Venezuela. (QNA)
