Amman, July 31 (QNA) - King Abdullah II of Jordan and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney discussed efforts to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East during a telephone call today.
King Abdullah II stressed the need to halt Iranian attacks against Arab states, underscoring that Jordan will continue to take all necessary measures to safeguard its security, sovereignty and the safety of its citizens. 
The two leaders also reviewed the dangerous developments in the occupied West Bank and the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. King Abdullah warned against exploiting the regional unrest to impose a new reality in the Palestinian territories, reiterating the importance of preventing further escalation. (QNA)
