British Foreign Secretary, Bahraini Counterpart Discuss Latest Regional Developments
London, July 31 (QNA) - British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband and his Bahraini counterpart, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, who is visiting London, discussed the latest regional developments and the repercussions of Iranian attacks on Bahrain and other regional states.
During the meeting, both sides underscored the need for concerted regional and international efforts to reduce tensions and resolve all conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy.
They also stressed the importance of safeguarding the security, safety, and freedom of international navigation in waterways, including the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, to ensure the smooth flow of international trade and the supply of energy and food.
The two sides reviewed prospects for strengthening cooperation and coordination between the two countries across various fields. (QNA)
