Cairo, July 30 (QNA) - The League of Arab States on Thursday expressed strong condemnation of the targeting of two ships in the Egyptian port of Damietta, which -according to the Egyptian Cabinet's findings- was carried out by a drone.
In a statement, Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy stressed that this targeting constitutes an unacceptable and condemned act of aggression against Egyptian assets. He warned against the consequences of any desperate and cowardly attempts by certain parties to expand the scope of the ongoing regional conflict and engage in reckless adventures.
Fahmy reiterated that attacks on Arab countries are unacceptable across the board, pointing to Egypt's clear role, since the beginning of the ongoing war since last February, in working seriously and continuously to find a way out of the entrenched crisis, and seeking with the parties to reduce the escalation on a basis that ends the attacks and preserves the security and sovereignty of Arab countries, and security and stability for all.
