Washington, July 28 (QNA) - US President Donald Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to the United States.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, in a statement on Tuesday, that the meeting was positive and productive.

For his part, Zelensky said he held a good meeting with Trump to discuss reactivating the diplomatic path with Russia, as well as production licenses for Patriot air defense systems.

A good meeting was held with President Trump and discussed licenses for Patriot interceptor production and other ideas that could help confront the Russian military operation in Ukraine, which began at the start of 2022, he wrote on social media platforms.

Zelensky added that he also spoke about diplomacy and the importance of reinvigorating the diplomatic process.

Zelensky further remarked that he is grateful to the United States for its firm support, stressing that his team and the US president's team will arrange the details of their further communication in the upcoming phase. (QNA)
