Cairo, July 29 (QNA) - Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi discussed regional developments with Jordan's King Abdullah II in a phone on Wednesday.

During the call, El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's firm rejection and condemnation of the heinous attacks targeting Jordan and several other countries.

El-Sisi emphasized the need for coordinated international and regional efforts to pursue political solutions to the ongoing crisis and support de-escalation across the region.

The Jordanian King, in turn, stressed the importance of upholding international law, respecting the principles of good neighborliness, and working toward a comprehensive and peaceful settlement of the current tensions.

The two leaders also touched on developments related to the Palestinian cause. They affirmed the need for a just and comprehensive solution based on international law and the two-state solution.

Both leaders also rejected the dangerous Israeli escalation in the West Bank and warned of the risks posed by extremist right-wing actions in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. (QNA)
