Egypt: Blaze Erupts Aboard Regasification and Storage Vessels at Damietta Port, No Casualties Reported
Cairo, July 29 (QNA) - The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced Wednesday that a blaze had erupted on a regasification vessel and another storage vessel located at Damietta Port in northern Egypt.
In a statement, the Ministry noted that the incident caused no injuries or casualties and had been handled immediately by pursuing contingency plans and implementing approved rapid response measures on the part of relevant authorities, firefighters, and site security teams.
The Ministry pointed out that the contingency personnel are reaching out to the relevant technical entities to complete the works and take essential measures based on the approved standards.
