Amman, July 28 (QNA) - Jordan and Turkiye have discussed regional developments, efforts to end escalating tensions and the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories during a phone call between their foreign ministers.

Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan stressed the importance of maintaining a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, resuming negotiations and reaching a comprehensive solution that addresses the causes of tension and guarantees freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with international law.

They also warned of dangerous Israeli escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories and unlawful Israeli measures in the occupied West Bank, saying such actions undermine prospects for achieving a just and lasting peace. (QNA)
