Qatar SC Part Ways with French Defender Presnel Kimpembe
Doha, July 21 (QNA) - Qatar SC have announced the departure of French defender Presnel Kimpembe from the club's first-team squad.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the club thanked Kimpembe for his time with the team and wished him success in the future.
Kimpembe joined Qatar SC in September 2025 from French side Paris Saint-Germain and featured for the club during the 2025–26 Qatar Stars League season.
The 29-year-old spent two decades at Paris Saint-Germain, having joined the club's academy at the age of 10 before progressing to the senior team. During his time in Paris, he won eight Ligue 1 titles, seven French Cups, six French Super Cups and the UEFA Champions League in 2025.
Qatar SC are currently holding a pre-season training camp in Murcia, Spain, which will run until the end of July ahead of the new campaign.
The club begin their 2026–27 Doha Bank Stars League season against Al Wakrah at Lusail Stadium on August 20. (QNA)
