Jordan Summons Iran's Embassy Charge d’Affaires
Amman, July 19 (QNA) - The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Charge d'Affaires of the Iranian Embassy on Sunday and handed him a strongly worded protest note over the continuous Iranian egregious and unwarranted attacks that target Jordan.
Official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Fouad Al Majali stressed that the Ministry demanded him to convey a clear-eyed note to his country to cease the attacks on Jordan immediately, adding that Jordan's security and the safety of its citizens are a red line that can't be crossed, in addition to stopping the unacceptable incitement remarks.
Al Majali further clarified that the Ministry reaffirmed its vehement denunciation of the blatant Iranian attacks that flagrantly breach the nation's sovereignty, international law and the UN Charter.
He also reemphasized that Jordan condemns the savage attacks targeting the brotherly nations of the GCC and thoroughly stands by them in all measures they take to safeguard their sovereignty, security and the safety of their citizens and residents.
In addition, Al Majali reiterated that Jordan will continue to take all available and essential steps to protect the safety of its citizens, as well as its security and sovereignty. (QNA)
