GCC Condemns Iranian Attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan
Riyadh, July 15 (QNA) - The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) condemned in the strongest terms the Iranian attacks that targeted Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, and the accompanying targeting of infrastructure and vital installations.
GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi said that Iran's actions represent an unprecedented escalation and reflect a clear insistence on violating all international rules and norms, demonstrating an unacceptable disregard for the consequences of dragging the region into further tension and instability.
He further added: "Targeting infrastructure and vital installations does not threaten the targeted countries alone, but directly impacts the security of the entire region."
Albudaiwi called upon the international community to take practical and deterrent steps to ensure the cessation of repeated Iranian attacks and hold those responsible accountable, thereby protecting regional peace and security and preventing the region from sliding into further escalation.
He stressed that the GCC stands as one with Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, supporting all measures they take to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. (QNA)
