Doha, July 13 (QNA) - The State of Qatar condemned the continued attacks targeting the premises of the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in the city of Basra, Republic of Iraq, and the accompanying violation of the inviolability of consular missions.

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that targeting consular premises constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. The ministry stressed the necessity of respecting the inviolability of consular missions and providing them and their staff with full protection.

The ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's full solidarity with the State of Kuwait and emphasized the importance of taking the necessary measures to ensure the security and safety of consular missions and prevent the recurrence of such attacks. (QNA)
