Paris, June 06 (QNA) - The Union of Arab Banks has selected HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari for the Leadership Visionary Award of the Year 2026.
The move comes in recognition of his outstanding contributions to advancing financial policies and reinforcing the efficiency and sustainability of the financial system, thereby demonstrating the advanced position of the State of Qatar and its growing role in supporting global economic stability.
In a statement, the Ministry of Finance stated that the selection is usually made from among figures who have made influential contributions to both the financial and banking sectors.
It added that this selection is also given to those who have helped bolster economic stability and beef up international financial cooperation, in sync with the leading role the State of Qatar plays in the global financial system.
This selection was announced during the 2026 Euro-Arab Economic and Banking Summit, convened in Paris amid wide commendation of the role Qatar undertakes in supporting financial stability and fostering economic partnerships on both the regional and global stages. (QNA)
