Qatar Participates in OECD Ministerial Council Meeting
Paris, June 04 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated in the 2026 Ministerial Council Meeting of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), held under the theme "Getting Industrial Policies Right for Open Markets, Growth and Prosperity" in Paris, France.
HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari represented Qatar at the meeting.
According to a post by the ministry on X, His Excellency also participated in a session entitled "Setting the Scene for Industrial Policy Discussion", alongside a number of ministers, senior officials and policymakers from member countries and partner economies. Participants discussed key global economic challenges and policies that support sustainable economic growth and prosperity.
The discussions explored ways to strengthen international co-operation and co-ordinate efforts to develop flexible and inclusive economic and industrial policies capable of keeping pace with global transformations and supporting long-term sustainable growth. Participants also emphasised the importance of continuing dialogue and exchanging expertise to enhance the effectiveness and resilience of public policies. (QNA)
