Geneva, June 04 (QNA) - HE Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri met with HE Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Gilbert Houngbo, on the sidelines of the International Labour Conference, taking place in Geneva.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed mechanisms for enhancing cooperation between the State of Qatar and the ILO and ways to further strengthen and develop this cooperation.
The two sides also reviewed the progress of the joint work program between the State of Qatar and the ILO, the extension of which was signed last year with the aim of enhancing the work environment, increasing the competitiveness of the national workforce, and developing and training the national talents in line with labour market needs.
