Seoul, June 30 (QNA) - South Korea postponed a plan to launch a solid-fuel space rocket on Tuesday due to safety reasons, the defense ministry said.
The Mir rocket uses solid fuel and is designed for monitoring and exchanging high-resolution satellite imagery. It is also distinguished by its innovative structure, which integrates four advanced propulsion stages capable of delivering precise payloads into low Earth orbit.
Under the Mir program, South Korea's defense ministry plans to domestically deploy up to 60 small satellites into space by 2030 to reduce the time required for monitoring and updating space-based data to just thirty minutes, while reaffirming that a new launch date will be determined after all systems are reviewed and the technical malfunction is resolved.
