21st Bibliotheca Alexandrina International Book Fair Set to Open July 6
Cairo, June 29 (QNA) - The Bibliotheca Alexandrina announced Monday that the 21st edition of its International Book Fair will be held from July 6 to 20.
The prominent cultural event is being organized in coordination and cooperation with the General Egyptian Book Organization; the Egyptian Publishers Associations; and the Publishers Associations.
Acclaimed Egyptian film director Daoud Abdel Sayed has been selected as the Fair's Personality of the Year in recognition of his remarkable creative contributions and enduring artistic vision.
This year's edition will bring together a broad range of publishing houses, printing companies, intellectuals, authors, and creative figures from Egypt, the Arab world, and abroad.
The fair will feature a diverse collection of publications spanning various fields of knowledge, alongside an extensive program of cultural events, seminars, panel discussions, literary meetings, and other activities.
First launched in 2002 to coincide with the historic inauguration of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the International Book Fair has since established itself as one of the Arab world's leading annual cultural events.
Over more than two decades, it has helped transform Alexandria into a vibrant hub for publishers, writers, and intellectuals, while serving as a major destination for literature and knowledge enthusiasts. (QNA)
