Miami, June 25 (QNA) - Brazil secured its first-place finish in Group C after defeating Scotland 3-0 in their final group match at Miami Stadium, securing qualification for the round of 32 of the FIFA 2026 World Cup.

Brazil scored early through Vinicius Junior in the 7th minute. He then added a second in the third minute of first-half stoppage time.

In the second half, Matheus Cunha extended Brazil's lead with a third goal in the 60th minute, his third of the tournament.

Brazil will face the runner-up of Group F in the round of 32, while Scotland's hopes of qualifying now depend on the results of the other groups. They will have to compete for one of the best third-place spots.

The match witnessed the return of Brazilian star Neymar after a long absence from the national team. (QNA)
