Kuwait Stocks Close Lower as Main Market Indices Decline

Kuwait City, June 23 (QNA) - Kuwait's stock market closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark index falling 33.07 points, or 0.38%, to finish at 8,709.66 points.
A total of 290.5 million shares were traded through 21,677 cash transactions, with a combined value of KWD 81.9 million (approximately $266.6 million).
The Main Market Index slipped 15.46 points, or 0.18%, to 8,719 points, after 142.1 million shares changed hands in 10,024 transactions worth KWD 26 million (around $84.6 million).
Meanwhile, the Premier Market Index declined by 38.54 points, or 0.42%, ending the session at 9,159.67 points. Trading in the market reached 148.3 million shares across 11,653 transactions valued at KWD 55.9 million (about $182 million).
The Main 50 Index also ended lower, shedding 20.15 points, or 0.21%, to close at 9,680.91 points, with 120.2 million shares traded through 7,771 transactions worth KWD 21.6 million (approximately $70.3 million). (QNA)
