Doha, June 22 (QNA) - The Ministry of Interior (MOI) announced Monday that the number of people injured in the incident at a factory in the Ras Laffan Industrial Area has reached 54.
In a statement posted on its official account on X, the Ministry said that the Qatari International Search and Rescue Group, affiliated with the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), is working in coordination with Civil Defense teams to carry out intensive search operations for 18 missing persons.
Earlier, the Ministry of Interior stated that preliminary findings indicate the incident was caused by a technical malfunction during operations at the facility. It also reassured the public that there had been no hazardous leak or release of substances posing a threat to public safety. (QNA)
