Moscow, June 16 (QNA) - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan affirmed today his country's readiness to play a mediating role in resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, stressing the necessity of ending this perilous conflict.
During a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, Fidan stated that Turkiye is prepared to exert every effort in mediation, whether by acting as a mediator or by providing a platform for talks. He noted the continued development and institutionalization of relations between Ankara and Moscow.
For his part, Lavrov praised Turkiye's stance on peace efforts, expressing his country's appreciation for Turkiye's sincere interest in helping to find a just, sustainable, and lasting solution to the situation in Ukraine. (QNA)
