General Authority of Customs Chairman, GCC Secretary-General Review Joint Gulf Projects

Riyadh, June 15 (QNA) - HE Chairman of the General Authority of Customs and Chairman of the Executive Council of the GCC Customs Union Authority, Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal, met with the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi.
The General Authority of Customs reported today that the meeting, which was convened in Riyadh on Sunday, discussed updates on the Customs Union Authority's work, as well as joint Gulf customs projects and the requirements for completing the establishment of the Customs Union.
The meeting further explored mechanisms to enhance coordination and cooperation with relevant government authorities in member states, in a way that supports the implementation of joint initiatives and projects and helps achieve their intended objectives.
HE Al Jamal expressed his gratitude to the Secretary-General of the GCC for his unwavering support for the Customs Union Authority's work, as well as his commitment to removing challenges facing Gulf customs operations, thereby strengthening the Customs Union Authority's objectives for GCC member states.
