Russia Urges US, Iran to Exercise Restraint, Avoid Escalation
Moscow, May 08 (QNA) - Russia on Friday urged the United States and Iran to exercise restraint and avoid any unilateral steps or escalatory measures that could complicate the regional situation.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov, during a meeting with ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, affirmed that Moscow's position on the Iranian issue remains unchanged, urging all parties involved to exercise restraint and avoid any unilateral steps or escalatory measures that could complicate the regional situation.
He clarified that his country's position on the conflict in the Middle East remains unchanged, noting that Russia calls on all parties involved in the current confrontation in the region to refrain from unilateral steps and escalatory initiatives that could harm efforts to reach understandings between Iran and the United States.
