Japan Allocates over $3 Billion to Subsidize Energy Bills during Summer
Tokyo, May 26 (QNA) - Japan decided Tuesday to allocate more than $3 billion for energy bills during the summer to ease the impact of the conflict in the Middle East.
In a cabinet meeting today, the Japanese government approved spending approximately 510 billion yen (about $3.2 billion) to help pay electricity and gas bills from July to September.
The government stated that the funds will come from the 1 trillion yen reserve funds booked in the initial fiscal 2026 budget. (QNA)
