Gaza, May 25 (QNA) - The death toll from the war in Gaza has risen to 72,797 since the genocide began on Oct. 7, 2023, according to health authorities in the territory.
Officials said a further six people were killed in the past 24 hours, including one person who died from previous injuries, while eight others were wounded.
Health sources added that since the collapse of the ceasefire on October 11 last year, 904 people had been killed and 2,713 injured. They also reported that 777 bodies had been recovered during that period.
Authorities said many victims were still trapped under rubble or lying in areas inaccessible to emergency and rescue teams, amid continuing difficulties in reaching affected locations. (QNA)
