Doha, May 23 (QNA) - HE Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani has attended a discussion panel at the Doha International Book Fair (DIBF), focusing on strategic planning and supply chain management.
The session was hosted Friday by the Qatar Talks platform and explored Qatar's evolving economic landscape and efforts to build more resilient and sustainable production and financing systems.
Participants examined how national institutions are supporting the private sector while strengthening food, industrial and technological security in line with Qatar's long-term development vision.
Qatar Development Bank CEO Abdulrahman bin Hesham Al Sowaidi discussed the bank's strategy to focus on key sectors including industry, technology, healthcare, tourism and food security.
He said the bank is moving beyond traditional financing to invest in capital and build integrated systems that support entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable growth.
Al Sowaidi also highlighted efforts to strengthen food and pharmaceutical security, improve crisis preparedness, and expand support for start-ups through incubation, acceleration and investment programs, alongside partnerships with national institutions.
He added that the bank is working to enhance Qatar's presence in international markets, including Africa, through trade missions and business partnerships aimed at expanding opportunities for Qatari companies abroad. (QNA)
