QSE Index Falls 0.93% at Start of Monday's Trading
Doha, May 18 (QNA) - Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index fell by 0.93% at the start of Monday's trading, losing 97.81 points to reach 10,386 points, compared to the close of the last session.
Figures released by QSE attributed the decline in the general index to the negative performance of the Industrial sector, which fell by 1.09%, the Transportation sector by 1.04%, the Real Estate sector by 0.97%, the Banking and Financial Services sector by 0.89%, the Telecoms sector by 0.73%, the Consumer Goods and Services sector by 0.45% and the Insurance sector by 0.26%.
As of 10:00 a.m, QSE recorded 4,506 transactions valued at QR 79.493 million, distributed over 38.436 million shares. (QNA)
