Athens, May 17 (QNA) - Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi met Sunday with Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Justice of UK, David Lammy to discuss discussed several topics and and regional developments.

During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the 1st Euro-Gulf Geopolitical and Investment Summit in Greece, Albudaiwi commended the UK's efforts and supportive stance toward the GCC countries against the Iranian aggressions faced by the Council states.

Both sides underscored the significance of unifying and intensifying international efforts to promote security and stability in the region and the world.

They also discussed bolstering the strategic partnership, including overcoming all obstacles and aligning views on all aspects of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two sides, paving the way for its signing in the near future. They also lauded the significant progress achieved so far in the FTA negotiations. (QNA)
