New York, May 15 (QNA) - US stocks closed significantly higher on Thursday.

The S&P 500 index rose by 56.99 points, or 0.77 percent, to close at 7501.24 points.

The Nasdaq Composite Index also rose by 232.88 points, or 0.88 percent, to reach 26635.22 points.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 370.26 points, or 0.75 percent, to 50,063.46. (QNA)
