Trump Says Iran's Response to Peace Proposal 'Totally Unacceptable'
Washington, May 11 (QNA) - US President Donald Trump said Sunday that Iran's response to proposals aimed at ending the war was "totally unacceptable," signaling continued deadlock in efforts to reach a settlement.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he had reviewed the response submitted by Iran's representatives and expressed strong dissatisfaction with its content.
The remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire agreement and advance a broader political settlement between the two sides.
Last week, Pakistan expressed optimism over the possibility of the United States and Iran reaching an urgent agreement to end the conflict and achieve a peaceful and sustainable resolution in the region and beyond.
Media reports also indicated that Pakistan had submitted a 14-point draft agreement for consideration by Washington and Tehran as part of mediation efforts aimed at de-escalation. (QNA)
