Baghdad, May 11 (QNA) - Iraq's Minister of Finance Taif Sami met on Monday with Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) office in Iraq, Catarina Hansen to discuss a range of financial and economic issues of mutual interest and prospects for cooperation in development and economic reform.

In a statement, Iraq's Ministry of Finance said the two sides discussed mechanisms to support programs and projects aimed at developing the financial sector and enhancing institutional performance.

They also explored opportunities to expand technical and advisory cooperation in line with the Iraqi government's efforts to implement economic reforms and improve the development and investment environment.

Both sides stressed the importance of continued coordination and benefiting from international expertise to support financial and administrative modernization plans, thereby strengthening economic stability and advancing sustainable development priorities in Iraq. (QNA)
