Arab League Slams Attacks Targeting Qatar, Kuwait and UAE
Cairo, May 11 (QNA) - The Arab League strongly condemned the attacks targeting the territorial waters of the State of Qatar and the territories of Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
In a statement issued Sunday, Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit described the attacks as a flagrant violation of international law.
He also expressed full solidarity with Bahrain in confronting what he described as sabotage plots targeting its security and stability.
Aboul Gheit further affirmed his full support for all measures taken by the affected Gulf states to safeguard their security and preserve their sovereignty over their territories and territorial waters. He also stressed his firm rejection of the unjustified escalation, warning that it could undermine diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
He also cautioned that continued escalatory actions could plunge the region into greater chaos. (QNA)
