Cairo, April 08 (QNA) - Egypt strongly condemned the series of blatant Israeli strikes and raids that targeted wide areas in Lebanon, resulting in the death and injury of hundreds of civilians, considering this a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained in a statement Wednesday that these blatant Israeli violations, which come just one day after the US and Iran announced a ceasefire, completely contradict the constructive and positive spirit that has emerged in the region following the ceasefire announcement.

They reflect a premeditated intention to try to thwart the tireless efforts exerted by regional and international parties to de-escalate tensions and prioritize dialogue and diplomacy, and represent a new attempt by Israel to drag the region into widespread chaos.

It called on all active regional and international parties to intervene immediately to stop this reckless and dangerous Israeli escalation to prevent the region from sliding into further violence and instability, reiterating its unwavering support and solidarity with Lebanon. (QNA)
