Doha, April 08 (QNA) - The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) announced that the Qatar real estate sector recorded a strong performance at the beginning of 2026, in a clear indication of the market's recovery and continued activity, achieving its highest level in years.

Regarding the trend of the value of sales transactions in the country in the first quarter of the period (2023 - 2026), Aqarat said in a post on the X platform on Wednesday that the value of sales transactions during the first quarter of 2026 recorded around QR 9.2 billion, compared to QR 7.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025, with a growth rate of 28.5 on an annual basis.

Aqarat noted that the upward trend during the period from 2023 to 2026 shows a recovery in market activity, with 2026 recording the strongest first-quarter performance in recent years.

At the beginning of April, Aqarat affirmed that the rental market in the State of Qatar continues to record a positive and upward performance, supported by increased activity and continued demand, which reflects the vitality, stability and competitiveness of the real estate sector.

Aqarat noted that the number of rental contracts concluded in 2025 exceeded the levels recorded during 2024 in all quarters, which reflects a widespread improvement in the activity of the rental market. (QNA)
