Israeli Strike Kills Two Medics in Southern Lebanon, Health Ministry Says
Beirut, April 06 (QNA) - Two paramedics have been killed and a third critically injured in an Israeli air strike in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese health ministry.
In a statement on Monday, the ministry said the strike directly targeted a team of emergency responders in the town of Haris, in the Bint Jbeil district. The attack reportedly hit the medics while carrying out their duties, resulting in the deaths of two and leaving another seriously wounded.
The ministry condemned "systematic attacks" on Lebanon's healthcare sector, adding that efforts are ongoing to pursue legal action through international courts.
The incident comes amid a broader escalation in hostilities. Since early last month, Israeli forces have carried out repeated air strikes and artillery shelling across multiple areas in southern Lebanon. Attacks have also extended to areas in the southern suburbs of the capital, Beirut. (QNA)
