UAE Intercepts 9 Ballistic Missiles, Cruise Missile, and 50 Drones Launched from Iran
Abu Dhabi, April 05 (QNA) - The UAE Ministry of Defense announced Sunday that its air defenses intercepted nine ballistic missiles, a cruise missile, and 50 drones launched from Iran. The Ministry stated that no casualties or injuries were reported in the past 24 hours.
In a statement, the Ministry added that since the start of the Iranian attacks, the UAE air defenses have intercepted 507 ballistic missiles, 24 cruise missiles, and 2,191 drones.
These attacks resulted in the martyrdom of two members of the UAE Armed Forces while performing their national duty, in addition to the martyrdom of a civilian contractor with the Armed Forces, the killing of 10 civilians, and injuries to 217 others of various nationalities, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate to severe.
The ministry affirmed its full readiness to deal with any threats, and firmly confront anything that aims to destabilize the security of the state, in order to ensure the preservation of its sovereignty, security and stability, and to protect its national interests and capabilities. (QNA)
