Doha, April 27 (QNA) - HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has received a phone call from HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Senegal Ousmane Sonko to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments.
The two sides reviewed cooperation between Doha and Dakar, and explored ways to strengthen and expand their partnership.
They also discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly those related to a ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions and enhance regional security and stability.
HE Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of all parties engaging constructively with mediation efforts, saying this would help address the root causes of the crisis through dialogue and peaceful means.
He added that such engagement could pave the way for a lasting agreement that would prevent a renewed escalation in tensions. (QNA)
