Doha, April 26 (QNA) - HE Chairman of Al Meera Consumer Goods Company Eng. Essa Hilal Al Kuwari reaffirmed the company's commitment to supporting local products and strengthening standards of quality and food safety, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

Speaking during the company's ordinary general assembly meeting held on Sunday, Al Kuwari said Al Meera continued to deliver positive results in 2025, reflecting the strength of its business model and its ability to achieve sustainable growth. He added that the company remains focused on enhancing its services and improving the shopping experience to meet the expectations of a diverse customer base.

The meeting reviewed the company's expansion plans, which include increasing the number of branches across Qatar, developing Al Meera's private-label products, and strengthening partnerships with local suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality products at competitive prices.

An extraordinary general assembly meeting had been scheduled for April 26, 2026; however, it was postponed to June 7, 2026, due to a lack of quorum.

On the financial front, Al Meera reported total revenue of QR 2.91 billion in 2025, marking a 3.6% increase year-on-year. Gross profit rose by 13.7% to QR 566.8 million.

Rental income from outlets reached QR 79.9 million, while net profit attributable to shareholders stood at QR 143.2 million. Earnings per share increased to QR 0.69, reflecting growth of 16.5%. (QNA)
