Doha, April 23 (QNA) - Qatar's national football team will play El Salvador in a friendly match as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada from June 11 to July 19.

The Qatar Football Association (QFA) stated in a press release Thursday that the match will take place in Los Angeles on June 6. Qatar has been drawn into Group B, alongside Canada, Switzerland, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Qatari national team are expected to begin preparations immediately after the conclusion of the domestic football season.

Their training program will also feature a friendly match against Ireland on May 28 before traveling to the United States for the final phase of their preparations.

In an effort to reach full readiness before the start of the World Cup, they will face the Swiss national team in San Francisco, USA, on June 13th, and then meet the Canadian national team in the second match on June 18 in Vancouver, Canada, before concluding the first round matches with a match against the Bosnian national team in Seattle, USA, on June 24.
