Saudi Crown Prince, Chinese President Discuss Bilateral Ties, Regional Developments
Jeddah, April 20 (QNA) - HH Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, held a phone call on Monday with Chinese President Xi Jinping, during which they reviewed bilateral strategic relations and discussed avenues to enhance cooperation and further develop ties across multiple sectors.
The two sides also reviewed the latest regional developments and their security and economic repercussions at both the regional and international levels.
They further discussed efforts to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region, particularly with regard to maritime security and its economic implications, including its impact on vital global supply chains.
During the call, President Xi underscored the importance of maintaining freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz in a manner that serves the interests of countries in the region and the international community, and contributes to lasting regional stability. (QNA)
