Two Palestinian Women Martyred, Child Wounded by Israeli Occupation Fire in Gaza
Gaza, April 02 (QNA) - Two Palestinian women were martyred and a child was wounded by live ammunition following Israeli occupation gunfire and shelling across various areas of Gaza Strip.
Palestinian medical sources told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the two women were martyred by Israeli occupation fire, one on Wednesday night in central Gaza, and another early Thursday east of Al-Maghazi camp. The sources added that the child was injured by shrapnel from a munition dropped by an Israeli drone on a group of civilians on Al-Salib Street, east of Khan Younis.
Israeli occupation forces also continued to violate the ceasefire agreement, opening fire east of Al-Bureij camp in central Gaza, and targeting tents housing displaced persons in Khan Younis and Rafah.
Meanwhile, eastern areas of Gaza Strip witnessed a notable escalation since yesterday through this morning, with Israeli occupation forces carrying out artillery shelling, gunfire, and demolitions of buildings.
The latest toll from the ongoing Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has reached 72,289 fatalities and 172,043 injuries. (QNA)
